40-HOUR TRAINING
Participants complete our 40-hour behavior technician training, The Behavior Technician Mixtape: 40 Hours to Certification.

COMMUNITY COHORT FUNDING
OTB Learning Group offers two distinct ways to expand access to behavior technician training.
Businesses, banks, foundations, associations, and individual philanthropists can contribute any amount toward participant access or sponsor a complete 10-person OTB community cohort.
Cities, counties, workforce boards, and economic-mobility programs can fund a community-designated cohort for eligible residents or another population they serve.
Each cohort provides a structured training experience centered on our 40-hour behavior technician training, The Behavior Technician Mixtape: 40 Hours to Certification, with live BCBA instruction, competency preparation, exam preparation, and credential-application guidance.

THE COHORT EXPERIENCE
An OTB community cohort gives participants more than access to an online course. It provides a structured training experience designed to help eligible adults complete the required training, prepare for the next steps in the credentialing process, and begin exploring career opportunities in behavior support.
OTB’s sponsored community cohorts are designed for 10 participants. Dedicated community workforce cohorts are scalable and structured around the population and goals of each partnership.

Cities, counties, workforce boards, and economic-mobility programs can fund a dedicated behavior technician workforce cohort for residents or another defined public population within their service area.
Unlike OTB’s 10-person sponsored community cohort, a publicly funded workforce cohort is scalable. Cohort size, eligibility requirements, schedule, participant support, reporting, and workforce goals are developed around the needs of the funded initiative.
Each cohort centers on our 40-hour behavior technician training, The Behavior Technician Mixtape: 40 Hours to Certification, supported by live BCBA instruction, competency and exam preparation, credential-application guidance, and career-readiness resources.
01
Your organization identifies the geographic area or public population the opportunity is intended to serve. Together, we establish clear eligibility requirements, enrollment goals, and a participant-selection process.
02
OTB develops and delivers a cohort around the agreed-upon number of participants, schedule, support needs, and program timeline. Cohorts can be scaled to meet the size and reach of the community initiative.
03
We align training, participant support, progress reporting, and career-readiness resources with the goals of the funded initiative. Employer connections and workforce referrals may also be incorporated when available.
This option is for public and community-serving entities funding a workforce opportunity for residents or another defined population. If your organization wants a dedicated cohort for clients, students, employees, or program participants it already serves, explore our Specialized Workforce Cohorts.
