THE BACKSTORY
We made the 40 hours feel like the start of the work—not a box to click through.
This training is intended for people pursuing entry-level behavior technician roles. But entry-level should not mean underprepared. The Mixtape teaches the core ABA foundation through culture, music, pop culture, and real situations learners can picture, remember, and use when the session gets real.
We did not build it in a bubble either. We linked up with BCBA colleagues doing the work in different settings and asked what new technicians actually need after the course ends. Their field perspectives helped us bring more context, better examples, and a little “here’s what this really looks like” energy to the tracks.
And it is truly built like a mixtape. The 10 modules become the Prelude, eight Sides, and the Outro. Each Side holds its own lesson tracks, moving from foundations and ethics into assessment, teaching, behavior reduction, documentation, and applied practice. The names are fun; the sequence is intentional. Every track sets up the next one.
The field is bigger than one diagnosis, age group, building, or way of supporting people. Our examples move through homes, schools, community programs, adult day services, vocational settings, and other places behavior professionals may work across the lifespan.

Does the course make me certified?
No. The training is one part of the certification process. You must meet the current requirements established by the credentialing organization you choose.
Is the certification exam included?
The official certification exam is not included. Your pathway includes The Mic Check, OTB’s mock-exam experience, to help you prepare.
Can I switch pathways later?
Credential pathways are aligned to different organizations. Contact OTB before purchasing if you are uncertain so we can help you select the correct training product.
When do I receive my certificate?
Your training certificate is issued after you successfully complete all required course content and assessments.
