2026 40-hour certificate

Submit your most recent certificate showing training that meets the 2026 requirements. Older training must be updated first.

Eligibility documents

Be at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and submit qualifying criminal background and abuse-registry checks.

Agreement after payment

Once payment is complete, we’ll send the required contractual agreement for you to sign before assessment begins.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Live, virtual, and skills-first.

Your 19 tasks may be completed across one or more sessions using client demonstrations, role-play, and live interview. Three Skill Acquisition and Behavior Reduction tasks must be demonstrated with a client.

THE 90-DAY RULE

Complete the assessment no more than 90 days before submitting your RBT certification application. Don’t let that window close on you.
