What’s included

Document review, Sorella onboarding and participation agreements, preparation instructions, and your live virtual assessment. After successful completion and eligibility verification, you receive your completed Initial Competency Assessment form and RBT Certification Application Attestation form.

How the client portion works

Sorella Behavioral Solutions provides free, BCBA-led virtual social skills services. Your temporary agreement establishes the required organizational relationship with Sorella, the assessor, and the client. We select three tasks from items 6–14 for client demonstration; other tasks use role-play or interview where BACB permits. You are supervised throughout.

Background screening: what to submit

Already have a background check from an ABA agency, school, or another employer? Submit it for review. It must include child-abuse screening; we’ll confirm whether your documentation meets our requirements.

Need a new report? Start with one of these providers. Basic criminal checks may require a separate child-abuse clearance. Confirm coverage for your state and the total price before paying.

STEP 3 · SCHEDULING

Book your virtual assessment

Once your payment and document review are complete, choose your appointment below.

Typically after 6 p.m. Eastern. Participating children attend school during the day and receive virtual social skills services in the evening. School-day-off and occasional weekend appointments may be available—ask us to confirm.

STEP 4 · COMPLETED PAPERWORK

Now we just wait.

After successfully completing your competency assessment, you’ll receive your completed paperwork within 48 hours: your Initial Competency Assessment form and your RBT Certification Application Attestation form.

Timing, rescheduling, and assessment requirements

Complete your Initial Competency Assessment after your 40-hour training and no more than 90 days before submitting your RBT certification application.
Your payment includes one additional appointment if you need to reschedule or do not demonstrate all required skills.
Any further assessment appointment requires a new payment.
Payment does not guarantee passing or certification. All required skills must be demonstrated competently before the assessor signs your form.
BACB application and examination fees are separate.
